Microsoft Azure, Office 365 and Power BI operated by 21Vianet are separate instances of cloud services located in mainland China and independently operated and sold by Shanghai Blue Cloud Technology Co., Ltd. The services are based on the same Azure, Office 365 and Power BI technology that powers Microsoft's global cloud service with comparable service levels to customers.
As a customer of Microsoft Azure, Office 365 and Power BI operated by 21Vianet, you get:
- A cloud service hosted in datacenters exclusively in mainland China and operated independently by 21Vianet, a leading Chinese Internet datacenter provider.
- Powered by world-class Azure, Office 365 and Power BI technology built on Microsoft's extensive experience with online services and used by enterprise customers around the world.
Microsoft Azure, Office 365 and Power BI operated by 21Vianet are physically and logically entirely isolated from Microsoft Cloud services in other regions of the world. Customer Data, applications processing the Customer Data and datacenters hosting Azure, Office 365 and Power BI are all located in mainland China. Datacenters in east China and north China, with the distance apart over 1000 km, maintain multiple copies of Customer Data for redundancy, in order to support business continuity of Azure, Office 365 and Power BI services.
When you entrust your Customer Data to Microsoft Azure, Office 365 and Power BI operated by 21Vianet, you will have questions. Who can access it? Where is it? What is 21Vianet doing to protect it? How can you verify that 21Vianet is doing what it says?
